We often get asked how you can help and whether we accept donations. We can’t thank you enough for caring and thinking of us!
We receive no public funding and are ‘just’ a foster home, so we are not open to grants. We rely on the entrance fee to cover cat cafe costs and so are very grateful for any additional help and beyond thankful for your generosity. Hopefully at the end of the year we will have an excess of proceeds that can be donated back to the rescue centres that we work with so they may carry out more of their work to save lives.
Our little furrballs are adorable, but expensive. It costs us, on average, $18,000 per month to house 30 to 40 cats - between the cafe and the off-site quarantine. This includes providing food, litter and staff to do daily cleaning, welfare checks and rehabilitation ‘exercises’. By sponsoring a cat we can maintain the kitties in our care but also help take in more homeless cats in need.
Sponsorship pledges can be of any value and be either a one-time donation or a recurring payment, every little bit helps. Here is a breakdown of possible pledges:
$4 covers one cats food and litter for one day
$8 covers two cats food and litter for one day
$28 covers one cats food and litter for one week
$550 covers one cats complete care, including medical bills and servants (staff)

DONATIONS
Another common question is whether we take donations. Except for financial donations…which is a big “Yes please and thank you very very much”……. physical donations are a little tricky. Here is a rough list of items that would be of help: -
Wet Food ; any brand or variety. We feed the general population a fish based, single protein, diet but every now and again we get picky eaters that would prefer something different. We have a few kitties, including one of the residents, who have chicken allergies but we try and feed the picky eaters separately.
Dry Food. We currently free-feed Kirkland brand Salmon and Sweet Potato, purchased at Costco. It’s an ok brand and is single protein fish based. We would not say no to a little more variety, in the fish based department.
Litter: Wheat grass based, like Fresh for Life or sWheat Grass
Toys: Soft toys need to be like new. Wand toys are always in desperate need as they chew through them so quickly.
Beds; like new or very gently used
Cat Trees: Like new or very gently used
Lysine or Forti Flora
Feliway spray and plug-in refills
Air freshener plug-ins that are safe for felines.
Physical donations can be dropped off at the cafe during opening hours. Enjoy a visit with the kitties, on us, for your generosity.
Financial donations would be AMAZING and we couldn’t thank you enough for your support.
